State Technical College // Engineering Technology Center (Preliminary Design Only)
Paragon Architecture conducted preliminary schematic design work for State Technical College of Missouri’s new Engineering Technology Center. This project will facilitate the coming together of several different departments under one roof after previously being housed in separate facilities. Phase 1 of the project was to complete Schematic Design and provide required floor plans that would make it possible for State Tech to apply for and secure the Federal EDA Grant that will make this vision a reality. One design goal was to differentiate the architectural characteristics of this building from the typical styles found on campus. The expansive glass storefronts that were incorporated into the design provide the transparency for both current and prospective students who are touring the grounds to look inside and see the departments that are showcased within.
