Ozarks Technical Community College | Lincoln Hall Health Science Program Expansion
Thanks to ARPA grant funding, the Health Science program at Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC) underwent a 14,000 square foot interior renovation and expansion. OTC currently offers 13 accredited programs catering to various healthcare support roles. The objective of this project was to modernize the existing nursing, surgical, and respiratory classrooms and labs, enhancing them with updated finishes and technology to support their nationally recognized education. The faculty at OTC closely collaborates with local hospitals and utilizes simulation labs that closely resemble clinical and acute settings, ensuring accredited curriculum delivery.
During the project, the design team encountered certain constraints that prevented the creation of ideal surgical suites and nursing teaching labs. However, the Paragon team successfully addressed the teaching needs by designing open and flexible environments, allowing for the movement of equipment as required for the diverse range of accredited courses they offer. This approach has enabled OTC to provide a versatile and adaptable learning environment to their students.
