Kutak Rock Office Renovation

After the acquisition of Lathrop & Gage, the national law firm Kutak Rock enlisted the team at Paragon Architecture to help with their office renovation.  The office space was located on the 8th and 9th floors of the John Q. Hammons Building in Springfield, MO. The renovation included 12,000 square feet of commercial office space reconfiguration, including conference areas, break
rooms, a community room as well as a combination of open and private office spaces.  The managing partner wanted to ensure equity among staff, so all private offices were designed to be the same size throughout.  The 9th floor previously housed John Q. Hammons’ private office which had maintained its original character throughout the years.  Several elements were incorporated into the new design to honor the legacy of John Q.  The granite from the elevator and the carpet from John Q’s office were salvaged and integrated to the displays in the Law Club.  Kutak Rock’s branding was integrated in the signage and furniture finishes throughout the rest of the office space.
