Christian County Circuit Court Building

The Client
Christian County
Project Type
Municipal/Civic
Location
Ozark, MO

The Ozark area experienced substantial growth over the years, which created a need for Christian County to expand operations within their Courts, Circuit Clerk’s office, Prosecutor’s Office, and Juvenile Office. Their existing facilities could no longer meet the needs of the county and expansion was needed. Another critical factor was security. Security upgrades and improvements were desired at their existing Justice Center and needed at their new facility. The new design includes two new full-service courtrooms within the new facility. In addition, a temporary holding area for adult inmates was incorporated to help with the ease of proceedings during a law day. A completely separate Juvenile detention area is also provided within this building. Paragon worked with multiple Christian County entities on the design and completion of the new 37,000 square foot, three-story Circuit Courthouse. Stakeholders included the County Commission, Circuit Court Judges, Circuit Clerk’s Office, Sheriff’s Office, Prosecutor’s Office, Juvenile Office, County Auditor, and the facility’s maintenance personnel. Communication was the key to coordinating across this large group of end users, stakeholders, and consultant teams.
